True Story Tuesday

Brought to you by Rachel and Mr. Daddy over at Once upon a Miracle, it's True Story Tuesday! Fun times to be had reading about other people's funny stuff. So, hop on over there, grab their button, and post your own True Story on this fine Tuesday!!!

Sooooo...it's that time again to tell a True Story. Mr. Daddy posted about paybacks, so I thought I'd share a funny story that a friend told me. My work wife and another coworker wanted to payback a work bud that had pranked them. So, when he was out golfing on a Friday, they planned and schemed to get him...hahahaha! They took Post-Its and put them all over his ENTIRE office, there was NOTHING to be seen anywhere but different colored Post-Its. Now, that is funny, but what makes the whole thing funnier is the work wife and the coworker. The coworker was worried they would get fired for using the company's Post-Its for this prank. My work wife, well, she can't lie for shit and she has guilt issues. She felt guilty ALL weekend for what they had done, even though the other guy deserved it and it was all fun and games. She ran into the office the following Monday terrified of his reaction and what the boss might say, etc.

This story cracks me up EVERY time I think about it.

  1. That is too funny. You should write that to the office, that would be so funny on that show.

This was my first True Story Tusday this week. I have enjoyed reading them all.

  2. I have thought about doing that so many times to my boss/FIL. He has a post-it note addiction. He will put 2-3 on each job he gives me and then also explains what each note says. DRIVES ME CRAZY!

  3. What's the point of a prank if you don't enjoy it? She should have gone out and bought replacement post-its so she could enjoy the show.

  4. So funny that she felt guilty about it! Sounds like he deserved it - did he react and make it totally worth it! This is one time a camera would have been really handy!

    Thanks for joining in :)

  5. I think overall they did enjoy the prank and the other guy, he cracked up and laughed so hard with them...it was great! I wish I had been around at the time to help. I so miss working with them.

  6. Too funny!! I didn't think about it, but I bet I would be worried about using company post-its as well...though I'd just buy replacements as Foursons suggested.

  7. OMG....I so forgot about that. And you all are so correct, he sooooo deserved it...but I had to tell so many lies to pull it all off and I SO SUCK AT LYING!! And my stressing so much over the lying....made the whole thing even funnier for all of us involved. :)
