Letters of Intent

Dear Gray Hair,
I've been dealing with you for 10 years now. I was WAAAAAY too young to have gray hair when you inhabited my otherwise blonde head. I began to pay a woman to cover it up and I've spent a ton of money over the last decade to make you disappear. At this point, I'm ready to give up. You are stubborn and you are breaking my will. See, when I pay the lady to give me back MY color, and at this point who knows what MY color really is, but when I pay her and she works her magic, I fully expect to have no grays for at least several weeks. But, you apparently have a different idea now and you must be stronger than me because the few times I've actually had my hair done this year, within a WEEK, a measley 7 days, you are back. Yes, you come back to my temples within a week and make me wonder WHY I bother to spend the time and money to even wash you outta my hair. Please, just stop it, I'm not old dammit, just go away and leave me the hell alone.

Sincerely,
Aunt Crazy with too many gray hairs

  1. Thanks for coming by!

My hubs is getting grey hairs, my hair is pretty much the color of pencil led, so when the grey comes, I do'nt know how noticeable it will be. Good luck!

  2. Grrrr. I get a little spot right at the top of my head (and my hair is dark brown, so the silver really stands out). My mom is 58 and she has no gray hair, so I know my kids are doing this to me. Brats. :P

  3. My hairdresser says that you need to go a couple shades darker if it's washing out that quickly (I honestlyb wouldn't know, as I don't have grey hair...YET!, but she was doing someone else's hair at the same time as mine and explained this). When your hair turns grey, the texture changes. It can be harder to "hold on" to color. Therefore, you need to do a couple shades darker so that when it washes out a bit, it still covers.

    Good luck!!

  5. HaHa! I hear ya! I started getting grey when I was about 18. But sadly I have dark brown hair so, I just color and color and color and color....

Stopping by from Foursons. Have a great weekend!

  6. I think your hairdresser is not doing her job! You need to drive on down to her workplace a week after your appt and show her what a great job she did. I'd be pretty upset about that! By the way- my mom is 62 and doesn't have a gray hair on her head. No one believes her that she doesn't color her hair.

    Thanks for linking up!

  7. Oh I hear ya... I've got that dark hair like Brandi's - so it shows really nicely. Started in my 20's - totally not fair!
