True Story Tuesday

It's that time again y'all! Brought to us by Mr. Daddy and Rachel, it's True Story Tuesday. I always seem to have some story for y'all to read that basically humiliates ME for y'alls pure reading pleasure. If you'd like to participate, head on over to Once Upon A Miracle, grab their button, post your blog and link up!

I've been working with my company since Jan 2000. In Feb 2001, I made a move from our corp offices to a plant location. I was so excited but Uncle Bubba (cuz he's a freak or something) kept talking about being in a plant and it blowing up and all this crazy stuff. He seriously gets major kicks outta trying to freak people out. I wasn't bothered by him and his antics because I was so happy about my new job. So, my very first day there, I'm nervous of course, but excited. I'm being introduced and basically just sitting at the desk in the lobby waiting for my training to start. Suddenly, this buzzer starts going off like crazy. I swear, I jumped eleventybillion feet in the air, I lost my breath for a minute, my pulse was racing, and my knees were shaking...LOL!!! I felt terrified for probably a full 30 seconds, when it dawned on me that NO ONE ELSE was freaking the fuck out...ONLY ME (of course)!!! Finally, I very calmly walk into the lady's office and ask WTF is that??? She tells me, so calmly too y'all, "it's the smoke alarm, Alex burned his sausage again!" OMG...I laughed so hard I nearly peed my pants. Once I got to know "Alex", this story became even more and more funny. Alex is one of those joke telling, crack you up guys, that always has something crazy funny to say or do. We told him we were gonna make him t-shirt that said "my name is lefty cuz i just ain't right" cuz that fits him to a T...LOL

  1. I used to work in a hospital and the first time the fire alarm went off while I was there, I was in the basement, in the hall. The fire doors around me automatically closed and strobe lights flashed, and sirens blared. I was by myself, so I ran around looking for the stairs, found them, climbed to the third floor (where my office was) and realized that no one was moving. You didn't react unless it was in your area. Nice and embarrassing.
